The Bath House - February 2024 Update

The Bath House, on the site of the former 1930s Kent Street Swimming Baths located between Kent Street and Bromsgrove Street, is well on its way to completion.

The site is now home to four new PRS (private rental sector) blocks, with the tallest building topping out at 19 storeys, offering commanding views across the city.

In total, 406 studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes make up the accommodation mix here, richly complemented by a whole host of amenities.

With a concierge and co-working spaces available, at the heart of the site, however, will be a striking community hub and courtyard space for residents. This will deliver a vibrant and semi-enclosed space, perfect for socialising, exercising, and divulging in community events.

Bringing outward-facing vitality to the area will be up to half a dozen commercial units (1,326 sqm), bringing a range of businesses (occupiers tba).

Kent Street Baths - December 2022 Update

Excellent progress is being made at Kent Street Baths by Winvic and the legion of subcontractors on the scheme.

Phase 1 will deliver 406 build to rent apartments and duplexes across four new buildings ranging from seven up to 19 storeys.

All blocks are nearing completion and will soon be enveloped by a red Stofix exterior facade, which is in the process of being installed by Caxton Facades and will last roughly 18 months.

All windows are also well advanced, with full installation scheduled for Q2/3 2023, followed by the installation of 582 Juliet balconies.

Completing in 2024, KSB will benefit from healthy cycling and amenity provisions, as well as three flexible commercial units: two to Gooch Street North, and one to the corner of Kent Street.

While the tower and adjoining buildings will have their own concierge and co-working spaces, the heart of the site will feature a three-storey community hub & courtyard space offering informal areas to relax, exercise studios, dining & event spaces, and quaint rooftop garden access.

Residents will have access to a semi-basement for 86 vehicles plus dedicated EV charging points.

Phase 2 (current triangular plot) is closing in on being acquired and will finish off the KSB jigsaw beautifully. It has early stage approval for 98 market dwellings over eight storeys.

Some of the CGIs below are in the process of being updated (brick colour, et all), but their form remains the same.
